RMWF steer sale raising funds for pediatric cancer

A steer named “Profyle” will be sold at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair’s cattle show with proceeds going to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation’s $1 million contribution to the Terry Fox Foundation’s PROFYLE initiative, which supports youth battling cancer throughout the country.

Redferns is sponsoring the Pig Scramble Wednesday and Thursday night at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair once again this year.

Dallas & Lynne Johnston have decided to donate their steer this year, with all proceeds going to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Please stop by the cattle barn (same barn as Farm gate) before going to the Pig Scramble and visit their stall… can’t miss it, they will have a table set up to accept donations for the purchase of their steer PROFYLE. Tax receipts will be given by CancerCare for anything over $15.00.

The Johnston family is very passionate about the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation & especially for the children. Aysen wouldn’t be with us today if it hadn’t been for the passion, care & dedication Cancer Care doctors, nurses & everyone provided.

Please take the time to stop by their stall and join us on Friday, March 29th – 7pm for the Auction Sale.

“They (Redferns) provide a complete agronomy package right from soil testing in the fall and fertilizer recommendations. They custom apply the recommended nitrogen, phosphorus and sulphur blend on our canola fields with their applicator. They also supply our applicator with NH3, supply seed treatments, supply and deliver canola seed and provide field scouting and discuss what herbicides would work best for our situations.”
